Autry Masters & California Art Club
The 8th Annual Plein air Paintout sponsored by the Autry National Center's Masters of the American West Committee and the California Art club was held October 29, 2011 at the beautiful Ventura Farms owned by Mr. David Murdock. Thirty three artists including myself were invited to attend and paint from the landscape. The painting I started at last year's Ventura Farms paintout and finished for this year's display, titled "Serenity", caught the eye of Mr. Murdock and was purchased by him for his collection. It is a great honor to be included in the collection of so great a patron of the arts.
Sentinels - Mr. Murdock's Ventura Farms
The Autry Master's committee and the California Art Club sponsored paint-out held in October 2011 at Mr. David Murdock's Ventura Farms, was a beautiful day which inspired this painting titled "Sentinels", started at the farm and finished in studio. This painting is 18" by 24" and is Oil on Linen Canvas. The grounds of Ventura Farm are beautiful and unique and contain elements not found elsewhere. Art patrons were invited to watch the artists create their paintings and then enjoyed a lovely luncheon on the grounds.
Gallery Representation
Annette Hammer invited to be represented in Carmel, California at Gallery Elite.
A recent trip to Carmel introduced Annette's art work to Teresa Bindel, owner of Gallery Elite in Carmel. Teresa was very excited to place 6 paintings in her gallery, located on San Carlos Street between 5th and 6th streets. Annette was very impressed with the gallery and pleased to be a part of such an outstanding gallery. Annette is also represented by the Cottage Gallery in Laguna Beach, California.
