The trail has taken us three hours back into the high country wilderness. The path has been an easy trek and we have passed many small lakes, thus the name Little Lakes Valley. As we reach a last spectacular view, we start to retrace our steps. A look over the shoulder brings a surprise view of the river frolicking down the rocky terrain. This is why it has the name Rock Creek. Up close we see the stream sparkling as it leaps over stones, logs and other impediments that cause it to sing. It seems a symbol of the grand continuum of life that keeps flowing along despite the impediments along the way.
